Can a challenge be relaxing? This one can.

During the month of August, Designed Wellness will be hosting a Mental Health Challenge where we encourage participants to complete 10 minutes of stress management techniques per day. This challenge is open to all Basic, Premier and (AHIP) Accountable Health Improvement Plan members.

Members who note they have completed stress management techniques for at least 15 days between Aug. 1 and 31 will earn additional points toward their Designed Wellness incentive.

Stress management techniques
Any type of stress-relieving activity will do. Here are a few ideas.

  • Take a walk with a friend (or pet), or try out a new workout class
  • Disconnect from technology
  • Get outside and connect with nature
  • Declutter your desk
  • Practice gratitude
  • Try meditation and deep breathing exercises
  • Read a book
  • Spend time with loved ones
